Please See a Reference Librarian if the Item you want is not listed in our Catalog.
**UPDATE** In order to complete our transition to the Suffolk County Catalog, patron records and our catalog will be unavailable Monday, November 14 – Tuesday, November 15. On November 16th when we come online again, our collection and your patron information will have a new URL address that we will provide here as the date approaches. You will need to update your bookmarks with the new address. There will also be sporadic disruption of many of our databases during the transition. We will make every effort to complete changes as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this down time may cause. Once we go live with the Partnership of Automated Libraries in Suffolk (PALS) once again, patrons will be able to place holds on all Suffolk County materials and pick up materials at neighboring libraries. Thank you very much for your patience as we strive to improve your library experiences. Please call any of our Reference Desks at (631) 427-5165 ext. 122, 231, or 251 if you have any questions or need assistance.
In November, we will once again be a member of the Partnership of Automated Libraries in Suffolk (PALS) and patrons will be able to borrow and pick up materials from neighboring libraries more easily. While we will strive to keep service disruption to a minimum during the transition, there will be limited services to patrons for a short time. In September, patrons will be restricted from placing holds in the LI LINK Catalog.
Reference staff will assist patrons in acquiring materials for you from neighboring libraries. Patron Reading Histories will be lost in October. Librarians will be able to help anyone who wishes to get a copy of their current reading history. Once the migration of all data is complete in November, patrons will once again be able to place holds in our catalog and the Suffolk County Catalog, and check out and pick up held materials at their choice of neighboring libraries.
We hope this transition back to the County Catalog improves your library experience. Please contact Kristine Casper at (631) 437-5165 ext. 203 or by email: if you have any questions or concerns. We thank you for your patience and cooperation during this transition.
